Overview

Welcome to prof. Carlos Silva's research group homepage, from the Department of Physics at the Université of Montreal. Our research focuses on understanding electronic dynamics in organic supramolecular nanostructures using combined time-resolved and quasi-steady-state spectroscopy and electrical characterisation.

We are part of the Thin Film Physics and Technology Research Centre (with the acronym GCM in French), a group of more than 25 faculty members in the departments of physics and chemistry of the Université de Montréal and the department of engineering physics of thecadre_ associated École Polytechnique de Montréal. We are also part of the Regroupement Québéquois sur les Matériaux de Pointe (RQMP), a strategic network between the GCM and comparable centres in the Université de Sherbrooke and McGill University. The RQMP has the goal to develop a national and international centre of excellence operating at the frontier of research in the science and technology of advanced materials. Our research programme is at the centre of this objective.
