Professor in Medical Physics

The Department of Physics invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position as Assistant, Associate or Full Professor in Physics with a specialization in Medical Physics.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to teach at all three levels of the curriculum, supervise graduate students, engage in ongoing research and publication, and contribute to the academic life and reputation of the institution. He will be significantly involved in the medical physics master’s program and will collaborate in the process of obtaining the CAMPEP (Commission on Accreditation of Medical Physics Educational Program) accreditation.
Selection criterias
- PhD in Physics, with a specialization in one of the branches of Medical Physics with a solid basis in the other branches.
- Ability to supervise students in several branches of Medical Physics, including radio-oncology.
- A record of excellence in teaching.
- A record of significant research achievements in Medical Physics.
- The candidate will be expected to lead a vigorous research program in Medical Physics and to contribute to Medical Physics activities at the Université de Montréal as well as at the Centre Hospitalier de l’Université de Montréal (CHUM).
- Proficiency in the French language. The Université de Montréal is a Québec university with an international reputation. French is the language of instruction.
